We are excited to share a recipe for crispy shortbread cookies adorned with flowers. These cookies are made with simple ingredients and are egg-free. They make a delightful dessert for dinner or a special occasion. This is also a fun activity to do with children, which they will surely enjoy. 1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
2. Place the butter in a bowl and add the vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
3. Add the powdered sugar to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
4. Add the starch and mix again until smooth.
5. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough until it comes together.
5. Set aside a small portion of the dough to create the flower decorations. Add beet juice and a teaspoon of flour to this portion, and mix until the color is even.
6. Take another small portion of dough, add turmeric to it, and mix until well incorporated.
7. Roll out the main dough to a thickness of 5 millimeters.
8. Using the colored dough prepared in steps 6 and 7, create flower shapes and decorate the rolled-out dough with them.
9. Shape your cookies using a cookie cutter or a knife.
10. Place the cookies on baking paper and bake in the oven at 160ยฐC (320ยฐF) for about 20 minutes.
11. Allow the baked cookies to cool for approximately 30 minutes before enjoying them!
