Elevate your culinary creations with the art of cucumber carving, where even the simplest ingredients become stunning decorations. Our easy-to-make cucumber rose adds a touch of elegance to salads, appetizers, and sushi platters. With its delicate, layered petals and fresh green color, this beautiful garnish not only enhances the visual appeal but also offers a crisp, refreshing taste that perfectly complements a variety of dishes.
1. Wash and dry the cucumber.
2. Begin by preparing the base for the rose. Cut half of the cucumber into slices about 2 cm thick.
3. Using a knife or a special tool, remove the core from each cucumber slice to create the base.
4. Now, start making the rose petals. Slice the remaining cucumber into very thin, almost transparent circles.
5. Arrange some of the thin slices in a row, overlapping each one by about half.
6. Starting from one end of the row, carefully roll the cucumber slices tightly to form the rose.
7. Insert the rolled cucumber petals into the prepared base, and gently adjust the petals to resemble a rose.
8. If the petals cause the rose to be unstable in the base, trim the bottom of the petals slightly to ensure the rose stands firmly.
