There’s no need for baking, and the active cooking time is minimal. All you need are a few basic ingredients—ready-made biscuits, cream or milk, white chocolate, and coconut—to whip up a delicately sweet and creamy dessert. This no-bake white chocolate and coconut dessert is perfect for those who love easy, fuss-free recipes. With its delicate sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth texture, it`s a timeless treat that requires minimal effort but delivers maximum flavor.
1. Prepare the cookies: Break 300 g of sponge cookies into pieces by hand. Crush the remaining 100 g of cookies into fine crumbs using a blender. Combine both in a large bowl.
2. Prepare the cocoa mixture: In a saucepan, add the icing sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and coconut flakes. Pour in the cream, stir, and heat gently until all ingredients are combined and dissolved.
Add butter: Stir in the butter and mix until it’s fully melted and incorporated.
3. Combine with the cookies: Pour the liquid mixture over the crushed cookies. Mix well until the dough is smooth and evenly combined.
4. Shape the rolls: Divide the mixture into two equal parts. Place each portion on a sheet of baking paper and shape it into a sausage-like roll. Wrap the rolls tightly in the baking paper, securing the ends, and place them in the freezer for a few hours to set.
5. Slice: Once the rolls have firmed up, remove them from the freezer and slice into pieces about 1–1.5 cm thick.
White Chocolate Glaze:
1. Melt the chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Add the butter and stir until fully dissolved and smooth.
2. Dip and coat: Pour the coconut flakes into a separate bowl. Dip half (or less) of each slice of "chocolate sausage" into the melted white chocolate, then roll the dipped section in the coconut flakes.
3. Set the glaze: Allow the glaze to harden for a few minutes. Once set, your delicate, no-bake cakes are ready to serve.
